Irrigation network dependent on the Gibbesi dam (Province of Agrigento)
Design of the gripping work, consisting of a raft in c.a. (1 m thick) set on the sides of the basin to support 2 DN 900 steel pipes, converging into a complex of sedimentation tanks (Foundation 165 mc)
• Gibbesi lifting plant, consisting of a suction tank, a pump room (3 (2 + 1R), Qn = 240 l / s, Hn = 155m, Pn = 500KW) and a transformation room / square room: building in ca with dimensions in plan 15X15 mq for 7 m of height
– the foundations are of a direct type, consisting of inverted beams below the pillars (180 cubic meters);
• Steel gravity adduction pipeline (total development of ~ 20 km, DN 1000 – 350), serving 10 irrigation zones for a total of 5,550 ha topographic, and secondary pipelines in PEAD (DN = 630-110, L = ~ 26 km);
• 2 hydroelectric power plants able to exploit the excess load, with productivity estimates (both with max flow 390 l / s, one with a power of 410 kW and the other 200 kW and energy produced 580 KWh and 319 kWh);
• Design of 3 hydraulic disconnection tanks (~ 20.00 * 24.00 m – Foundations 0.70 m);
• Design of 2 compensation tanks (~ 20.00 * 24.00 m – Foundations 0.70 m);
• Electrical systems for regulation and management of products;
• Design of a remote control and remote control system able to detect the status of the controlled components, acquire the values of the pressure flow measurement, etc., and receive and return the commands related to the operation of the motorized valves.
